My Journey to Find the Best Nursing Bras for Large Breasts
Before babies, I was a 34-36 DD. After my first baby, they went up to 36G. As our 20-month breastfeeding journey went on, they gradually changed. Then, after my second baby, I was a whooping 36H. (Why does nobody tell you your breasts can get even bigger with each baby?) I share this to say you’re not alone if you also have dealt with such a massive change during pregnancy and postpartum.
Qualities to Look for in a Nursing Bra
- Prioritize comfort: Breastfeeding should be a pleasant and relaxing experience, which is why opt for nursing bras that are soft, stretchy, and made with breathable fabric. You can choose cotton or bamboo-blend bras that keep your skin cool during warmer months.
- Choose wireless bras: Wireless nursing bras are perfect for large-breasted mothers, as they offer gentle support for your breasts without any wires digging into your skin. Wireless nursing bras come with a stretchy band that is soft on your skin and doesn’t cause discomfort.
- Opt for a full-coverage bra: A full-coverage nursing bra will provide excellent support while preventing breastfeeding spillage. Pick a nursing bra with an adjustable band and straps that can adjust as you go through breast changes during the breastfeeding journey.
- Check for the pumping access: If you combine pumping and nursing during the day, you find a bra that can do both. Who has time to change their bra out all day?
The 3 Best Nursing Bras for Large Breasts
I’ve tried many nursing bras over the last few years, so I’ll share what I’ve tried and what has worked for me. These bras will give you the lift and support you need while allowing easy access to those precious breastfeeding moments. So say goodbye to uncomfortable, ill-fitting bras and hello to comfort and confidence.
The Most Comfortable Nursing Bra
When you’re looking for a nursing bra that is super comfortable and feels great on your skin, reach for The Everything Bra by Bodily. I highly recommend this bra for the early days of engorgement and nursing when you’re boobs feel VERY full and you don’t want anything too tight that feels restrictive. It’s super stretchy with light support. However, I would not wear this bra out of the house for large breasts as it doesn’t give my big girls enough lift and support. However, I still highly recommend you add this bra to your collection for days when you need light support and want to be as comfortable as possible. Shop the bra here.

The Best Nursing Bra for Combination Nursing and Pumping
If you need your bra to be a jack of all trades, the Sublime Hands-Free bra is for you. It is a combination bra that allows you to use it for pumping and nursing, which is great for moms who do both throughout the day. For large breasts, they have a “busty” size designed for cups E-I. Among many nursing bras I’ve tried, this one provides the most support and lift for large breasts. However, I will share this is not the most comfortable bra, as it needs to be tighter to lift large breasts. That’s the trade-off, ladies! I still highly recommend this bra as part of your collection. Shop the bra here.

The Most Affordable Nursing Bra
The other two bras I mentioned will run you around $50 each, so I wanted to round out the collection with a more affordable nursing bra. These are 3 for $30 on Amazon and come in various colors. From experience, this bra provides medium support for large breasts, but it is an excellent, comfortable option. It’s more comfortable than the Sublime bra and more supportive than the Everything bra. Shop the bra here.
