I used to avoid Starbucks like the plague and only went to local coffee shops. Then, I realized it was just too inconvenient not to like them; they are EVERYWHERE, right? So, I had to figure out Starbuck’s crazy ordering language (yes, I was the one saying “medium” for a while). I’m sharing my go-to drinks when I need coffee in a jiffy. However, I’ll help you make some great choices on the menu that are low calorie and keto-friendly Starbucks drinks! Here we go!
No/Low calorie:
- Nitro Cold Brew – absolute perfection as is.
- Calories 5
- Iced Coffee. No classic syrup. 1 packet stevia.
- Calories 0
- My favorite warm hug: Grande Flat white with almond milk & 1 packet stevia.
- Calories ~100
- Americano with the room, a splash of almond milk.
- Calories ~50
- Coffee. Splash of Almond Milk + Cinnamon.
- Calories ~50
- Iced Green Tea, no water, 1 packet stevia.
- Calories 0
- TIP: Unless specified they will add water to already brewed iced teas. Ordering “no water” puts more potent green tea in your cup.
- All other teas, hot or iced.
- Calories 0
Keto-Friendly:
Keto is a diet in which carbs are kept extremely low. Therefore, to stay keto-friendly at Starbucks, you can either order it black or add a bit of heavy cream to whatever you’re ordering. No syrup, none of them are
Tips when ordering:
- AVOID drinking classic syrup. The classic syrup has 20 calories per pump of pure sugar.
- Sugar-free syrups have 0 calories but include artificial flavors and sucralose (the same artificial sweetener as Splenda). Use minimally. Try stevia & cinnamon.
- Almond milk is the lowest calorie milk option at Starbucks around 60 calories/cup
- A splash of heavy cream is the keto way to go, as it has the lowest carbs.
Sorry y’all, frappuccino’s did not make the list, coming in over 500 calories each! Eek! Remember for healthy eating, keep sugar as low as possible, and that includes drinks.
Now pull up this list next time you’re in a Starbucks line and order away some low Calorie and keto-friendly Starbucks drinks! The 0-5 calorie drinks on this list are great for intermitted fasters.
