The best kept secret in the wedding process is the post wedding blues. Let’s getting real on the post wedding blues.
Our wedding was hands down, the best day of my life. If you missed it, you can check out some pictures here. Swoon…
Once we got back from the honeymoon, I was completely in the dumps. I wasn’t ready to accept the wedding was over, not because I wasn’t thrilled to be married, but that planning the wedding had consumed my entire life. I always had a running to-do-list of things needing my attention. There was always something exciting to talk about with family & friends. Afterwards, I didn’t know what to do with myself or with my time. For the first few weeks, I couldn’t shake the feeling of sadness. I didn’t want to go to work or leave the house.
After a few weeks, I started to feel my old self returning. It took a big mental effort and time to get back on track by refocusing on myself and on building a new marriage. I have so much respect for everyone who has struggled with this or something similar and found their way through it.
So, while I’m figuring out my next project, I’ll be sipping rosé while swooning over our wedding pictures and doing a lot of self-care.
Till next time,
